We’re all prone to making lofty resolutions every New Year. As we press refresh and begin a new start every January 1, the feeling of hope and joy associated with a new year often leads us to make grand, sweeping resolutions that, as the year progresses, become a little tough to keep.

Here are a few resolutions one can in fact make, that might be easier to accomplish on a day-to-day basis.

Eat a healthy diet

It should come as no surprise that the food one consumes directly affects one’s health. Eating healthy little by little, step by step every day will help achieve the goal.

Get a sufficient amount of sleep every day

Though the exact hours of sleep one should get every night is still debated, the importance of getting a sufficient cannot be dismissed. Sleep allows our body to rest, making us feel rejuvenated the next morning.

Indulge in a little yoga every morning

Spend time with family

The pandemic has seen most of us shifting to working from home, due to which families are generally being able to spend more time in each other’s company. Carrying those traditions forward should help in the new year too, as support from loved ones is always appreciated.

Nurture your hobbies, whether it be gardening or painting

Taking a break once in a while to nurture one’s hobbies is always good for the soul. Whether it be gardening or painting, we can all benefit from taking our passions forward, even if they may not be directly linked to our main job.

Though the scale of these resolutions may not be too large, working on them, and incorporating them in our day to day life should hopefully be easier than working to accomplish larger resolutions.
