Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the date for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) has been set. NEET UG will be conducted on September 12, 2021, while the registration process will begin from July 13, 5 PM onwards.
Pradhan also remarked when declaring the NEET UG 2021 date: “In order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198.”
“The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020,” the minister added.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan further stated that face masks will be supplied to all applicants at the centre, and pupils will be admitted to the exam centres in a staggered manner to guarantee adherence to COVID standards.
Every year, about 15 lakh medical students take the NEET exam. In regards to the NEET 2021 curriculum, the Ministry of Education previously said that, regardless of the reduction in the 2021 board exam syllabus, the medical admission examination, NEET, would be held according to the syllabus established by NTA.
The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held across the country following COVID-19 guidelines. The application procedure will start tomorrow at 5 p.m. on the NTA website(s). Details about the application process can be found on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website.
The NEET 2021 application form has five stages: NEET registration, application filling, submission of documents like scanned photos, marksheets, and certificates, payment of fees, and confirmation page printing.
Last year, 13.66 lakh candidates took the NEET UG test, which is used to determine eligibility for admission to various undergraduate medical programmes across the country.
The NTA is in charge of the examination. The results of the pre-medical entrance exam are essential in gaining admission to government and private universities offering MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS) programmes.
