Standing in line is an exhausting and stressful
activity, but a man in
London does it professionally and earns up to Rs 16,000 each day.
Freddie Beckitt, a professional queuer, charges
£20 (Rs 2,029) per
hour for waiting in line for customers who don’t
want to. Beckitt
believes that he can earn up to £160 in a single
day.

Beckitt is a writer by profession, thus this work
fits perfectly with
his writing schedule while also amusing his
friends and family.

He serves clientele ranging from families with
children to retirees,
and he waits in lines for shopping, exhibitions,
museums, movies, and
shows. He claims queuing comes easy to him because
he is from the
United Kingdom, and that he has it “down to a
fine art.”

During the summer, when there are many events and
exhibitions in
London, he is the busiest. His favorite aspect of
his job is waiting
for tickets to major events.

He confesses that the labor, while seemingly
simple, takes
extraordinary patience in order to keep working
for eight hours a day.
The best days are when you are requested to wait
in line for tickets
to popular events, such as plays at the Apollo
Theatre.

“I spent eight hours for a job queuing for
the V&A’s Christian Dior
show for some extremely well-to-do people in their
mid-sixties,” he
told The Sun.

“The real queuing time was only three hours,
but they requested me to
get their tickets as well and wait for them to
arrive, so I just had
hours perusing the V&A museum while being paid
£20 an hour, it was
fantastic,” he continued.

hour and that the
labor doesn’t involve any talent or even hard work.
