A video of a parrot snatching a phone and flying away with it has gone viral on social media. The clip was shared on Twitter by user @fred035schultz and a boy can be seen running behind a parrot as it claws the phone and flies away.

“The parrot goes with the phone on a good trip,” wrote the user as he shared a 1.49-minute clip. The parrot captured beautiful view of the neighbourhood. The viral video has now received more than 5 lakh views.

The video ends when the parrot stopped for the last time on a car. Ever since it was shared online, the clip has sparked a massive social media reaction with a lot of people laughing at the parrot. Some even called the parrot as an “eco-friendly” drone.

However, some have questioned the authenticity of the clip. “It’s 100% animation. Stand still and look at the wings of the birds. They look cut with rough edges – no real blurring of movement. The shadows on the floor and buildings are very sharp. The leaves on the trees have no real texture. Everything looks flat. Movement is also not real, ”wrote one.

Another user commented, “This is a fun ride”. “Damn good data speed! Smooth throughout! And an excellent bird’s pov tour of the town.. never dropping the phone either. Now can make that ever-important bird video call for which it prudently took a phone with its camera on and set to video,” commented a user.
