A
video of a thirsty squirrel asking for water in a video is making rounds on social media. In the video, the squirrel can be seen getting up on its hind
legs and following a man around.

Indian
Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter with a
caption, “Squirrel asking for water”.

The video shows a girl and a boy watching a squirrel on road. The squirrel, on spotting a water bottle in the man’s
hands, gets up on its hind legs and repeatedly gestures at him with her front
paws until the man leans down to offer his water bottle to the rodent.

The
squirrel then puts its tiny mouth to the bottle and begins sipping water – going
strong until the whole thing empties in just a few seconds.

The netizens also shared their gestures of helping the animals.

One of the users wrote, “We always keep them on terrace , entrance, garden etc. Mother buys jowar specifically to feed birds. We give them their space though.”

The video has over 4.2 lakh views and a ton of comments on the microblogging platform. On Reddit, it has 3 million views and 34,000 ‘upvotes’.
