An Olympic-level fencer, Jackson was supposed to participate in the London Olympics 2021. But he dropped out after discovering his love for music and ended up pursuing it. He even had a sports scholarship from Standford University and was placed first in the Youth Olympics in his home in Hong Kong.
After being scouted by JYPE in 2008, he was approached by then again in 2011. The first time didn't work out because he was not of age. After passing the auditions, he moved to South Korea and became a trainee at JYPE and the rest is history.
His love for fencing is such that reportedly he has tattoos of a fencing sword along with the Olympic rings.
He, now, will be participating in the Tokyo Olympics although in a different avatar. This time he was approached by the organisers to be a part of the Tokyo Olympics promo video.
