Minneapolis police department is responding to gunshot reports at the same spot where George Floyd was killed exactly a year ago, according to media reports.
One person has reportedly been shot, however, the injuries do not seem to be life-threatening, according to Reuters.
John Elder, a spokesperson for the Minneapolis Police Department, said law enforcement officials responded to a car fleeing the scene around two blocks away from the area, which is now dubbed as George Floyd Square.
He said, "Information received from callers was that a suspect vehicle was last seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed", reported Reuters.
He added that one person came to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound that did not appear to be life-threatening. The person was later moved to the Hennepin County Medical Center, according to Reuters.
