Actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband, businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police on Monday for producing pornographic films. Mumbai police commissioner Hemant Nagrale issued a statement on Monday on Kundra’s arrest which read: “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.”
The Mumbai Police had arrested nine people in the case, including model-actor Gehana Vasisth and a man called Umesh Kamat, who is a former employee of Raj Kundra.

In February this year, actor Sagarika Shona had alleged that a famous businessman and the husband of a well-known actor was running a porn racket along with his aides. A case was registered on February 4 at the Malwani police station in suburban Mumbai.
According to sources in the same crime branch, Raj Kundra along with his relative Pradeep Bakshi formed a company called UK-based Canerin Production House. Pradeep Bakshi lives in the UK and is the chairman of the company as well as the business partner of Raj Kundra. According to sources, Raj Kundra is also indirectly the owner and investor of the company. The company contracts and funds several agents for movies.
The investigation of the same crime branch has revealed a WhatsApp group through which the contract was discussed.
The WhatsApp chat group is called 'H Accounts' and also includes Pradeep Bakshi sitting in London with Raj Kundra. The crime branch has got a chat in the group, which has come up for discussion in the revenue bar. In this group itself, how much is earned every day, how much money to pay for an actress working in pornography, how to earn in a business, or how the earnings are declining, everything was talked about.
