Now that the Panthers have traded their superstar running back, let’s have look at the depth chart of the team at this position:

1) D’Onta Foreman

The 26-year-old was signed by the Panthers this off-season on a one-year contract. He has previously played for the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons in his five-year NFL career. The RB has so far played in all six games for the Panthers this season and has recorded 12 carries for 37 yards. He will be the number-one target for the team now that McCaffrey has been shipped away.

2) Chubba Hubbard

The second-year player from Oklahoma State will share the running back responsibilities with Foreman and will become RB2 for the team. The player played all 17 games in his rookie year and attributed to 5 Tds in 172 carries for 612 yards. This time around, he has not received many targets from QB Baker Mayfield, recording just 6 carries for 34 yards for the team.

3) Raheem Blackshear

The rookie RB from Virginia Tech University has played in just two games this season due to the presence of McCaffrey and Foreman. But now that McCaffrey will not be present the player is likely to get more playing time and more targets as well.

Carolina play Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, October 23rd at the Bank of America Stadium.
