Former NFL player Antonio Brown’s arena football team has reportedly been dealing with some troubles after recent reports. Brown is accused of making violent threats to the ex-head coach and banning players from their hotel rooms.
Last month, he acquired 95% ownership of the Albany Empire, an arena football team. The team reportedly dealt with several players not receiving payments last Friday, leading to a Sunday postgame bus incident. Coach Damon Ware and several players have been suspended due to the incident.

According to the Albany Times-Union report, players and coaches are usually paid every Friday. The Albany Empire played a game against the Carolina Cobras last Sunday despite not being paid the Friday earlier.
Ware confirmed his departure from the team and the missing payment. “Nobody has been paid,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

“If you disagreed with that, you were a problem. I am certainly not desperate enough to coach for free. I love what Coach (Tom) Menas and I built over the last few years. Sending my love and prayers,” he added.
Post last Sunday’s defeat to the Cobras, the Albany Empire team had a heated incident on the bus ride home.

Brown was recently involved in an altercation with the team’s security guard. The former Pittsburgh Steelers star was told to get off the field by a security guard who seemingly didn’t realize he was the franchise’s new owner.
