About a month ago, India pacer Arshdeep Singh was trolled for dropping a key Asif Ali catch during the Asia Cup 2022. The 13-T20I old player said he could not sleep properly. However, he made it to the 15-member Indian squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia

On his maiden T20 World Cup ball, Singh redeemed himself. The 23-year-old started his spell with an inswinger that moved massively to deceive Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. The batter was LBW, dismissed for a duck.

Singh was not done. He was brought in for the fourth over. After being hit for a rare boundary, the pacer went short and quick. He hurried Mohammad Rizwan into playing a hook. The top-edge, mistimed, travelled to fine leg where Bhuvneshwar Kumar took an easy catch.

Both Pakistan openers were dismissed and they were 15/2 in no time.

Arshdeep Singh has come a long way in T20Is. He made his debut vs England at The Rose Bowl on July 07, 2022. Coming into the Pakistan game, he had 21 wickets at an economy rate of 8.04 against his name.

Singh also has 40 IPL wickets in 37 games.
