The BCCI on Thursday announced India’s squad for ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, reports news agency ANI. Shikhar Dhawan has been named Captain of the team while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named vice-captain. 

The Indian squad for the series retains, Shikhar Dhawan (C), Prithwi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan (WK), Sanju Samson (WK), Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, Krishnappa Gowtham, Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (VC), Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya.

The squad picked for the Sri Lanka tour has many regular players missing as the Indian Test team is on England tour for the World Test Championship finals against New Zealand in Southampton starting June 18.  

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced the schedule of India versus Sri Lanka as all matches will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The ODIs against Sri Lanka will be played on July 13, 16, and 18, and the T20Is will follow on July 21, 23, and 25.
