On Sunday’s first drive of the third quarter against the Miami Dolphins, the team was down by 11 points and faced a third-and-5 situation. Fields dropped back to pass when he noticed an opening through the left side of his offensive line and on his way to the endzone, the quarterback dodged many defenders who appeared to slide at the running legs of the player.

Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson ran for a 79-yard touchdown in Week 2 against Miami, which is the longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback this year.

Fields now has thrown two passing touchdowns and a rushing TD for the game. He has completed 12 out of his 18 passes for 96 yards and rushed for 114 yards in eight carries. This is even more than the combined rushing yards from his running backs, Khalil Herbert and David Montgomery. It was the longest run and longest touchdown run by a Bears quarterback in team history.
