Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields rushed for a touchdown against the New England Patriots on Monday Night, October 24. The game was being played at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough which is the home of New England Patriots.

The endzone play happened in the closing minutes of the first quarter. Chicago was in the first and goal position near the Patriots’ end zone line when Fields ran with the ball for the six-point play.

This was just the second rushing TD of the season for Fields and a first since Week 2 when his team lost to the Green Bay Packers, 27-10. In that game, he rushed for eight times for 20 yards and only had 70 passing yards in 11 attempts along with an interception.

On Monday night, the Bears dominated the running game, gaining 243 yards as opposed to the Patriots’ 70 yards. They scripted a comeback later in the game as they registered a 33-14 victory and added two rushing touchdowns.

In this game, the Bears led from with the ground game, amassing 243 rushing yards to the Patriots’ 70. The team scored two touchdowns in this category and won the game 33-14 to get back on track.

By rushing for a total of 82 yards in Monday’s game, Fields is now ranked second with most rushing yards by a QB in the 2022 NFL season with 366 overall, behind Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson.

The Chicago Bears were on a three-game losing streak before Week 7, one of which came against the Washington Commanders at home. The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings, both of whom have a better record than the Bears, defeated them on the road. With a 3-4 record, they are now looking for the second spot in the NFC North division, which is occupied by Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers.
