Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season began with the Chicago Bears taking on the Washington Commanders at Soldier Field on Thursday Night Football on October 14. However, the game met with criticism from the fans even before the game started, who accused the NFL of making Thursday Night Football games ‘boring’.

The Chicago Bears are currently at the third position in NFC North standings behind the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers respectively. They have registered two wins and three losses in the ongoing season, but are currently leading 7-6 against the Commanders in the fourth quarter with 10 minutes left on the clock.

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are finding themselves in uncharted waters, having lost four of their last five games in the new season and winning only one. They are currently at the bottom of the NFC East table, with their only win coming against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the opening week.

“This game is painful to watch #TNFonPrime #tnf #WASvsCHI,” one user wrote on Twitter during the game between the Bears and the Commanders.

“I think my favorite new thing is reading Twitter comments whilst watching #TNF #THNonprime #WASvsCHI,” another tweet read.

NFL fans have been urging the league to make more interesting and competitive fixtures for Thursday Night Football games. Some fans even pointed out on Twitter that the Week 5 Thursday Night Football game was also a dud when the Indianapolis Colts beat the Denver Broncos 12-9.
