Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, was seen hugging his mother at the Paul Brown Stadium after his collision with Damar Hamlin seriously injured the latter. Bengals’ game vs the Buffalo Bills was suspended and the league informed that the safety was in critical condition.

Hamlin was given CPR before being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

Hamlin collided with Tee Higgins after a completion. He did get back to his feet but within seconds fell backward and lay motionless. Players from both teams surrounded him.

Higgins was later seen in the locker room. The Bengals receiver was visibly shocked and disturbed. He hugged his mother Camilla Stewart, who consoled him.

“I know all us football fans are praying for Damar Hamlin, and let’s all please pray for Tee Higgins as well. He is hurting especially along with all the players who were on the field, God bless you ALL🙏🏼,” a Twitter user said. 

“I’m also praying for the emotional and mental state of Tee Higgins. It’s not your fault brother,” another one added.

“Dear Tee Higgins, You are loved. You are so loved. You are important. You are not to blame. You are so much more than a game, you are a human being. You are a son and you are a beloved family member of Who Dey Nation. Please stay strong. 🙏,” a third one added. 

Meanwhile, NFL said that Hamlin is in critical condition.

“Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition,” the league said in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with Damar and the Buffalo Bills. We will provide more information as it becomes available. The NFL has been in constant communication with the NFL Players Association which is in agreement with postponing the game.”
