Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the biggest NFL franchise, Dallas Cowboys paid tribute to his late mother, Peggy Prescott through custom Nike MOM cleats ahead of the game vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night in Week 13.

The game is played at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

In November 2013, his mother passed away from colon cancer and this is Prescott’s way to honor his late mother.

Over the years, the QB has honored his mother with different colored shoes. In 2017, he wore a custom Adidas cleat in a white and pink theme which also contained red lips printed on it.

While in 2016, he wore a black and white version of the Adidas football cleat with MOM printed on it. In the O of MOM, a white cancer ribbon was also printed on it.

Dak Prescott’s NFL Career so far:

Prescott was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The team drafted him to serve as backup to starting QB Tony Romo.

With 3,667 passing yards, 282 rushing yards, 29 total touchdowns, and only four interceptions as a rookie, Prescott finished fourth among NFL quarterbacks in 2016 with a 67.8% completion rate. He started all 16 games and won the 2016 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and also made the Pro Bowl for that year.

His second season concluded with 3,324 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 357 rushing yards, and six rushing touchdowns. 

In 2018, he made his second Pro Bowl appearance and passed for 3,885 yards to go with 22 Tds and eight interceptions. 

He holds the following Dallas Cowboys record:

1) 42 total completions for the game (December 9, 2018 against the Philadelphia Eagles)

2) Most passing Tds in a season: 37 (2021)

3) Most sacks: 56 in one season (2016)

4) Most Pass Yds/Game (career): 245.6
