Former Dallas quarterback Tony Romo, who is on the panel for the Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings Week 11 game on Sunday was trolled for making a ‘size matters’ comment on the air.

“Tony Romo telling us that “size matters” is quite the projection,” a Twitter user said.

“Tony Romo just said “size matters” so get the foot-long, not the six-inch you Subway cowards,” another one tweeted.

“But size matters, right?” – Tony Romo out of context,” a third one said.

Romo was talking about Dallas running back Tony Pollard.

Watch:

“I like Pollard but size matters,” he said. The RB had 42 yards on three carries and the Dallas offense had 35 yards on the other eight plays.

Despite being only 6 feet tall, Pollard has been playing consistently well for his position. He was drafted by the team in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played college football at Memphis, where he finished his rookie season with 86 carries for 455 yards and two rushing touchdowns, as well as 15 receptions for 107 yards and one receiving touchdown.

Romo was the Cowboys’ starting quarterback from 2006 to 2015. During his tenure, he led the Cowboys to four postseason appearances, earning Pro Bowl honors on each occasion. Romo announced his retirement after the 2016 season when a preseason back injury forced him to give up his starting spot to backup Dak Prescott. Following his retirement, he was hired by CBS Sports as the lead color analyst for their NFL telecasts.

Romo holds a number of Cowboys team records, including passing touchdowns, passing yards, most games with at least 300 yards passing, and games with three or more touchdown passes.

The Cowboys led Minnesota 20-3 with 4:27 left in the second quarter. Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliot rushed for a touchdown.
