DeAndre
Hopkins is a wide receiver who plays for the Arizona Cardinals in the National
Football League (NFL). A five-time Pro Bowler, Hopkins has been a consistent
high-scorer in fantasy football over his eight-year pro career and picking him
might just make the difference on your fantasy season.

Player Bio:

Born on
June 6, 1992 in Clemson South Carolina, Hopkins attended the DW Daniel High School
in Central, South Carolina, where he participated in football, basketball and
track and field. He recorded 57 receptions for 1,266 yards and 18 touchdowns in
his high school football career.

In
basketball, he played as a shooting guard and point guard and recorded 1,453 career
points. Ultimately, he choose to pursue a career in football and enrolled in Clemson
University, where he played for the Clemson Tigers football team from 2010 to
2012.

Over his
three years of college football, he recorded 206 receptions for 3,020 receiving
yards and 27 touchdowns. He was the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champion in
2011 and was named in the First-team All-ACC team in 2012. He decided to forgo his
senior year to enter the 2013 NFL Draft.

Career highlights and records:

He entered
the 2013 NFL Draft as one of the top prospects and was projected to be a first
or second round pick by most experts and scouts. He was picked by the Houston
Texans in the first round (27th overall). He was the second wide
receiver to be picked, behind Tavon Austin (St Lois Rams, eighth overall).

He made his
NFL debut in the season opener. Against the San Diego Chargers and made five
receptions for 55 yards in a 31-28 victory. An impressive debut season saw him
named in the NFL All Rookie Team.

He played
for the Texans for seven more seasons, during which time, he became a five-time
Pro Bowler (2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), was included in the First-team All-Pro
three times (2017, 2018, 2019), was twice named in the Second-team All-Pro (2015,
2020) and was the receiving touchdowns leader in 2017.

In March
2020, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson. He
finished the season with 115 receptions, a new franchise record, for 1,407 receiving
yards and six touchdowns.

Overall, he
has 747 receptions for 10,009 receiving yards and 60 receiving touchdowns in
126 games over an eight-year career.

Fantasy performance:

Hopkins has
scored a total of 1,354.3 points at an average of 10.8 per game. His best
season came in 2015, when he scored 220.1 points from 16 games at an average of
13.8 per game.
