San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel scored an outstanding touchdown to extend their lead.

The star wideout exited the game with an injury after making a 20-yard reception, but returned a few plays later to score a 27-yard touchdown.

The Niners now have a comfortable lead over the Daniel Jones led Giants.

During Thursday’s game against the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel sustained an injury following a significant reception. Although he was able to walk off the field independently, he promptly entered the medical tent accompanied by trainers for evaluation.

Prior to his injury, Samuel had been making a substantial impact on the game for San Francisco. With Brandon Aiyuk unavailable, Samuel assumed the role of a dependable target for quarterback Brock Purdy. He managed to secure five receptions out of 11 targets, amassing an impressive 102 yards in the process.

Aiyuk had been ruled inactive for the game before kickoff, and with Samuel sidelined, the 49ers are now faced with the task of exploring their wide receiver depth. Jauan Jennings is likely to receive an increased number of targets in Samuel’s absence. Furthermore, rookie Ronnie Bell, who had two receptions for 24 yards and scored his first career touchdown earlier in the game, may also see an expanded role as they navigate through Samuel’s absence.

Samuel played college football for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks before entering the NFL.
