Even in the event of a loss or a tie during Thursday evening’s game, Benito Jones, the defensive tackle for the Lions, will depart from Lambeau Field with a victory of a different kind. He has just earned the distinction of having the most outstanding pregame attire by a wide margin!

At 25 years old, Benito Jones made quite the entrance for the highly anticipated “Thursday Night Football” showdown against the Packers. His outfit choice was nothing short of spectacular, featuring vibrant orange overalls, stylish boots, and a classic cowboy hat.

His ensemble was an absolute triumph, capturing the attention of all in attendance. It left such a lasting impression that the Lions felt compelled to feature it as the closing image in their pregame Instagram carousel.

The team couldn’t resist sharing their admiration, playfully captioning their social media post, “All I can say is…, swipe until the end 😂.”

In contrast, the rest of the Lions players opted for more understated attire as they prepared for their crucial NFC North clash. Star quarterback Jared Goff, for example, chose a simpler look, donning jeans and a comfortable flannel shirt.

After completing a four-year stint at Ole Miss, Jones entered the NFL scene as an undrafted free agent when he signed with the Miami Dolphins on April 25, 2020. However, his initial stint with the Dolphins was marked by some roster shuffling. He was waived during the final roster cuts on September 5, but the team decided to keep him by signing him to their practice squad just two days later.

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, Jones had a series of promotions to the active roster for specific games, including those against the New York Jets, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, and the Jets again, with each stint followed by a return to the practice squad without having to clear waivers. On December 2, 2020, he finally secured a spot on the active roster and played in six games during his rookie year, contributing with one tackle.

As of August 31, 2021, the Dolphins decided to waive Jones, although he was re-signed to their practice squad shortly after. His journey continued when he was re-signed by the Dolphins on April 19, 2022. However, his time with the Dolphins came to an end once again when he was waived on August 30, 2022.

Benito Jones’s football career took an interesting turn when he was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions on August 31, 2022, marking a new chapter in his NFL journey.
