Several social media users slammed NBC for now showing the national anthem ahead of the Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions Sunday Night Football game at Lambeau Field.

“@NFL@nflcommish@NBCSports You just went to commercial before The National Anthem played at Packers/Lions game. Very disappointing, quite Sad. @packers@Lions,” a Twitter user said.

“Why doesn’t NBC show the National Anthem? Do they think it’s triggering?” another one added

“@NBCSports Why does NBC never show our National Anthem???? This pagan network plays multiple commercials to skip it all!” a third one tweeted.

“Absolutely No Respect by @nbc and @SNFonNBC. Every @NFL game this weekend showed the National Anthem after the Moment of Support for Damar Hamlin but you don’t. I guess it doesn’t fit your agenda,” a fourth one said on Twitter.

The Detroit Lions took on the Green Bay Packers in the Week 18 NFL game that was kicked off from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The game is significant for both teams as at least one of them can secure a playoff berth. The Packers did not have a great start, having lost seven out of the eight matches initially. However, they made a strong comeback with four consecutive victories. Their victory guarantees a playoff.

Meanwhile, the Lions on the other hand needed a victory against the Packers. They also need to hope for either a loss or a tie for the Los Angeles Rams against the Seattle Seahawks. Only under these two conditions, the Lions will qualify for playoffs.
