What is the ‘Fly Eagles Fly’ anthem about?

“Fly, Eagles Fly”, also known as ‘The Eagles’ Victory Song’ is the fight song of the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. It is sung following each Eagles touchdown at home and as part of pre-game festivities before the playing of the national anthem. It was created by Roger Courtland and Charles Borrelli.

The lyrics of the song are:

Fly, Eagles Fly!

On the road to victory! (Fight! Fight! Fight!)

Fight, Eagles fight!

Score a touchdown 1, 2, 3! (1! 2! 3!)

Hit ’em low!

Hit ’em high!

And watch our Eagles fly!

Fly, Eagles Fly!

On the road to victory!

E-A-G-L-E-S!

Eagles!
