Sudhir Naik, a former India Test player, and ex-Wankhede Stadium organizer criticized the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) after he and other former Mumbai Test players were given one complimentary ticket each to watch the IPL matches at Wankhede in the Vijay Merchant Stand, rather than the Garware Clubhouse Stand, which is reserved for former India cricketers.

Typically, the MCA issues two tickets to the Garware Clubhouse for all former Test players. However, due to the stadium’s 25% capacity limit, the MCA is providing each of them with one ticket to the Vijay Manjrekar Stand.

Sanjay Naik said, “There’s been a fixed place for us, ex-Test cricketers, in the second tier of the Garware Clubhouse to watch the match for so many years. I was told that they’ve given those passes to other people. “Furthermore, he mentioned that “As a former Indian cricketer, I’m disappointed.”

The MCA, on the other hand, stated that they are providing players with the complimentary tickets provided by the BCCI. “We’ve given what the BCCI has provided to us.”
