British actor Tom Felton, who is known for his role in the Harry Potter movies as Draco Malfoy, collapsed on the field at the Ryder Cup, according to US media reports. Felton was playing a celebrity gold exhibition on Thursday.

The 34-year-old’s on-ground collapse was described as “a medical incident” by the organisers of the sporting event in Whistling Straits Golf Course, which is located in the United States’ Wisconsin. The Harry Potter star was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No further inputs were given away by the organisers of the Ryder Cup.

Felton, who turned 34 just days ago, was on his 18th hole when he collapsed on Thursday. According to reports from Associated Press, he was helped back on his feet and was put on a stretcher before being taken away on a golf cart.

Felton was participating in the celebrities round of the Felton Cup and represented Europe on Thursday. The round is held a day before the United States and Europe start the Ryder Cup.

As Tom Felton’s collapse was reported, fans of the British actor started pouring in their best wishes. A Twitter user wrote, ” hope you feel better soon! Give us all a shout so we know you’re okay. Also, if you are ever in the Twin Cities, I’ll buy you a beer…or a whiskey, or whatever.”
