Ahead of Argentina’s clash with Croatia in the FIFA World Cup 2022, a helicopter with a giant Lionel Messi jersey was spotted in his hometown Rosario, Argentina.

Although Argentina are the favorites to win the match and move to the final, Croatia have shown great resilience in the tournament and they will give Lionel Messi and co. and tough task on Monday.
Croatia’s goalie Dominik Livakovic has been a star performer for them as he saw the team through two penalty shootouts, first against Japan in the Round of 16 and then against mighty Brazil in the semi-final.

If the game boils down to penalties today as well, then Croatia would have a good chance to make it to their second consecutive FIFA World Cup final.
The rivalry between Croatia and Argentina goes back over 28 years. The two sides clashed for the first time in 1994 at an international friendly.
They have faced each other five times in the past, out of which both Croatia and Argentina have won two each while one match was a draw. When Croatia famously reached the 2018 FIFA World Cup final, they beat Argentina 3-0 in the group stages.

The match will also mark two former club rivals in Spain, Messi with Barcelona and Luka Modric with Real Madrid, coming together for a World Cup semi-final match. La Liga fans would expect the match to have the energy of an El-Classico.
Even Modric, when he spoke to the press before the match, said that they will turn up at Lusail Stadium with the midset of an El Classico.
