The International
Cricket Council player rankings are determined by a points-based system. Using the
calculation method players are assigned a score between 0 – 1000 points. The
method varies slightly depending upon the format of the game.

The Top 10 men’s
batters in the T20 format as per the ICC rankings are as follows:

1.       Dawid Malan (Rating – 819)

The 34-year-old English cricketer is the best T20 batter in the world
right now. He has amassed 1123 runs in 31 T20I matches.

2.       Babar Azam (Rating – 733)

Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam has earned himself the second rank by scoring
2204 runs in 61 T20Is.

3.       Aaron Finch (Rating – 717)

The Australian’s team has sunk down in the T20 rankings but Finch has
maintained his status as one of the best limited overs batters in the world. He
has scored 2473 runs in 77 T20Is.

4.       Virat Kohli (Rating – 700)

The Indian skipper is a run machine in all formats of the game. He has
scored 3159 runs in 89 T20Is. He is still looking for his first hundred in the
shortest format of the game.

5.       Devon Conway (Rating – 700)

The New Zealand left hander’s record in T20Is is an impressive one. The
30-year-old has played 14 T20Is and scored 473 runs with a strike rate of over
151.

6.       Lokesh Rahul (Rating – 699)

KL Rahul is the second Indian in the top 10 list and the 29 -year-old
has scored 1557 runs in 48 T20Is. He will be looking to cement his place as
India’s first choice opener in the T20 World Cup.

7.       Mohammad Rizwan (Rating -692)

The 29-year-old Pakistani batter has played in 43 T20 matches and scored
1065 runs with a strike rate of over 129.

8.       Quinton de Kock (Rating – 671)

The South African batter has scored 1765 runs in 58 matches for his
national team which a strike rate of over 135.

9.       Evin Lewis (Rating – 664)

Evin is a big hitter for the West Indies side and has scored 1324 runs
in 45 innings with a strike rate of over 157 for the national team.

10.   Hazratullah (Rating – 636)

The 23-year-old is the only Afghan batter in the top 10 rankings and he
has scored 570 runs in 15 matches with a strike rate of over 155 for the national
side.
