Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, rolled right and wanted to scramble in the first quarter of the wildcard game against the Miami Dolphins. However, the ball popped out and rolled out of bound.

Referee Brad Allen’s team seemed to be convinced that Josh Allen’s pass was incomplete. But they ruled a fumble after a review.

Fans on social media trolled the referees.

“That is not an incomplete pass,” a Twitter user said.

“Did the refs really try calling this an incomplete pass?? 🤔🤔 #MIAvsBUF,” a second one said.

“Incomplete pass until they realized it was beyond the line of scrimmage,” a third one tweeted.

In NFL, a pass is termed incomplete and the ball is declared dead if the pass hits the ground or goes out of bounds. In such cases, the ball returns to the previous spot.

The Buffalo Bills are also looking to win the Super Bowl for the first time. The team defeated the Miami Dolphins in Week 15,  clinching a playoff berth for the fourth consecutive season.

By beating the Chicago Bears the following week, the Bills clinched the AFC East for the third consecutive season.

Their Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals was declared a no contest after the team’s safety, Damar Hamlin, collapsed on the field. Hamlin got up from an open-field tackle on Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and within a few seconds, he fell on his back. He was rushed to the hospital after being administered CPR on field.

Damar Hamlin, who has been released from the hospital, will, however, will not attend the team’s playoff game against the Miami Dolphins at the Highmark Stadium. The 24-year-old said he will support Josh Allen and co ‘from home’.
