All
the 10 IPL franchises will play four games each at the Wankhede and DY Patil
Stadium and three apiece at Brabourne and Pune, according to the report.

Though
the BCCI is yet to announce the fixtures of the IPL 2022, the cash-rich T20
league is likely to start in the last week of March. According to the same
report, the broadcaster of the tournament Star Sports is in favour of the March
26 start of the IPL while the board is preferring the March 27 start.

The
venues for the playoffs are also yet to be decided and a decision is expected
to be taken in the IPL governing council meeting scheduled for Thursday,
February 24.

In
either scenario, the tournament will end on Sunday, May 29.

Last
year, the COVID-19 interrupted IPL held in India and the UAE in two parts. The
first part of the league started in India on April 9 before the board postponed the
matches on May 3 in the wake of the emergence of the COVID-19 cases in the IPL
bio bubble.
