Hurts played in 15 games last season as the Eagles made the playoffs after the team had an 8-7 record. In the playoffs, the team faced Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the team from Pennysylvania State was defeated in a pretty one-sided match, the scoreline reading 15-31. He completed just 23 out of the 43 passes in the game and had 1 TD and 2 interceptions to his name.

The Eagles will rely on Hurts to remain healthy for the remainder of the season as the team wishes to head into the Playoffs with a healthy squad aiming to win a second Super Bowl in four seasons, the last one coming in 2018.
