Quarterback Fields, on the first play from scrimmage, ran away from would-be sacks by Montez Sweat and Jonathan Allen. However, Efe Obada and Daron Payne registered sacks later in the drive to force a Chicago punt.
Justin Fields was then intercepted in the red zone. The 23-year-old’s pass hit defensive lineman Efe Obada’s helmet and deflected. Commanders’ Jonathan Allen collected the ball.
