American rapper Kanye West slammed former NBA players Shaquille O’Neal and Amar’e Stoudemire, who criticized Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Kyrie Irving for his non-apology in the antisemitic row. The player shared a link to a documentary deemed as antisemitic and then defended his decision to do so.

In his appearance on NBA on TNT on Tuesday, O’Neal said “The game we used to love, and we promote it brings people together,” “And it hurts me sometimes when we have to sit up here to talk about stuff that divides the game. Now we got to answer for what this idiot has done.

West responded to the 4-time NBA Champion, O’Neal’s comments by saying, “They make us bully ourselves because of our business alignments.”

Former Player Development Assistant at Brooklyn Nets, Amar’e Stoudemire appeared on ESPN’s Get Up program on Wednesday and commented over Irving’s issue.

He said,” You have to give an apology because if you’re going to promote a documentary that has false allegations inside of it, and you may not understand that these allegations that’s inside the documentary are false, OK you made a mistake, right? So apologize for it.”

West also responded to this comment by the former player by saying,” They made us attack each other, even our brothers who know who we truly are.”

Stoudemire remained at the Nets franchise for a period of two years and was in close communication with Irving during this time. 

German Sportswear Brand Adidas decided to end their seven-year partnership after the Grammy Award-winning artist ‘with immediate effect’ on October 26.

The company in a statement said, ” they (Kanye West’s comments) violated the company’s “values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.” 

Irving who averaged 26.9 points and 5.7 assists in seven games was suspended on Thursday for at least five games without pay.
