On
the eve of the first Twenty 20 International (T20I) against West Indies at the
Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India captain Rohit Sharma urged everyone to stop
talking about Virat Kohli’s form and that will help him to get back his mojo. Rohit
Sharma was responding to a question about Kohli’s recent inconsistency with the
bat.

“If
you guys can keep quiet for a while, I think he’ll be alright. We don’t need to
do too much talking from your side, then everything will be taken care of. He
is in a great mental space from whatever I see of him. He has been part of this
international team for more than a decade. If someone has spent that much time
in international cricket, they know how to handle the pressure situations, the
environment, everything. It all starts from you guys. If you guys can keep it
quite for a bit, then everything will fall into place,” Rohit said during
a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

Kohli
failed to do anything special against West Indies as he was dismissed for 8, 18
and 0 in the three ODIs in Ahmedabad. Kohli last scored a half-century in T20I
against South Africa in Cape Town.

The
right-handed batter has been going through a lean patch in international
cricket since November 2019 when he last scored a hundred against Bangladesh in
a day-night fixture at the Eden Gardens.
