The Moroccan fan, who danced with Senegal supporters during their FIFA World Cup 2022 group game against Ecuador was spotted at the England vs Senegal round of 16 match. He was, yet again, supporting Aliou Cissé’s men.

While Senegal and Morocco are fierce football rivals within the continent, a Morocco fan cheered for the former and danced with its supporters during their final Group A tie vs Ecuador.

He was seen again with Senegal fans in the African side’s round of 16 encounter with England.

Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Tunisia and Morocco were the teams from Africa at the FIFA World Cup 2022. Of those five, Morocco and Senegal are the only two sides that made it to the knockouts of the competition.

While Senegal beat Ecuador, who were till then unbeaten, for a place in the knockouts, Morocco booked a berth in the round of 16 after beating Canada 2-1.

Senegal, who have played in only three World Cups, were looking forward to a repeat of their 2002 World performance where they made it to the quarter-finals. However, their hopes were doused by a spirited British attack that used all the arms in its arsenal as Kalidou Koulibaly‘s men stood in stupor and confusion.

Jordan Henderson, captain Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scored for The Three Lions as the north Africans were beaten 0-3.   England set up a mouth-watering quarter-final clash with arch-rivals France that is scheduled for December 11.

Morocco is thus the only African team remaining in the competition and will need the support and prayers of the entire continent as they take on former World Champions Spain in their round of 16 encounter on December 6.
