Neymar Jr. missed Brazil’s match against Switzerland after he suffered from an ankle injury. However, the 30-year-old star could not afford to miss watching his team play Switzerland even if he was not in a position to be at the stadium.

The PSG star posted a picture of his teammates singing Brazil’s national anthem on TV while he lies in bed. A heavily bandaged ankle is also visible in the picture.

Brazil team doctors told the press earlier that Neymar Jr will miss Switzerland. They said that he is undergoing physiotherapy and trying to make a comeback as soon as possible.

“I’m injured, yes, and it’s a pain, and it will hurt,” Neymar said in an Instagram story after the Serbia match posting pictures of his swollen ankle.

“But I’m sure that I’ll have the chance to return, because I’ll do anything possible to help my country, my teammates and myself.”

“Nothing in my life was easy or given to me,” he continued. “I’ve had always had to go after my dreams and my objectives.”

Coach Tite had said he will “force” Neymar and Danilo to train with the team by foregoing their treatment on Sunday.

Brazil won the match 1-0 thanks to a goal by Manchester United midfielder Casemiro. Although Vinicius Jr came close to scoring in the first half, a brilliant save by Swiss goalkeeper Yan Sommer kept the Real Madrid winger out.

Richarlison, who scored a brace in Brazil’s last match, failed to net in spite of coming close several times.
