New England quarterback Mac Jones suffered a back injury against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the new 2022 NFL Season. He did not speak to the media post-match.
Many players were injured playing in the opening week.
Notable players with injuries in the players in Week 1 are: –
1) Tee Higgins (WR, Cincinnati Bengals) – Higgins suffered a head and neck concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was further ruled out of the game. He received the injury in the second quarter of the match.
2) Elijah Mitchell (RB, Pittsburgh Steelers) – Mitchell was injured in the second quarter of the team’s match against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

3) TJ Watt (LB, Pittsburgh Steelers) – Pittsburgh Steelers’ outside linebacker TJ Watt suffered a torn pectoral, a season ending injury, against the Bengals. He will be seeking second and third medical opinions on his injury and if the doctors opts for surgery, his season will be over.
4) Harrison Butcker (K, Kansas City Chiefs)- The placekicker suffered an apparent ankle injury in the team’s Week 1 match against the Arizona Cardinals. This is a tough loss for the team as the Chiefs do not have another quality kicker on the squad.
6) Dak Prescott (QB, Dallas Cowboys) – Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a throwing hand injury in week 1 game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will be undergoing a surgery for the injury and has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks.
8) Wan’Dale Robinson (WR, New York Giants) – The New York Giants’ wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson received a knee injury against the Titans in his side’s season opener. He will undergo an MRI on knee.
10) Najee Harris (RB, Pittsburgh Steelers) – The Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris suffered an ankle injury against the Bengals. It’s unclear when he will return.
