A bizarre moment from the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade on Wednesday has surfaced where the team’s star player Patrick Mahomes is seen handing over the Lombardi Trophy to a fan after taking a photo with one of them in the crowd and just leaving.

The hilarious moment was caught on camera as Mahomes got down from the celebrations bus to mingle with the football supporters who has gathered alongside the streets in the parade route. The quarterback appeared to be just a little tipsy as he held a beer and took selfies with the fans. After he hands over one of the fans the pretty heavy trophy to hold, he just turns and leaves, forgetting to take the trophy back!

Fortunately, the Chiefs were able to pick up after their quarterback and also managed to retrieve the Lombardi before it strayed too far. The entire scene, however, made for quite a remarkable parade moment that will go down in history as one of the more memorable ones.

Later on, the Kansas City Chiefs players had an enormous party where even Mahomes’ mother, Randi joined in. She posted a video Wednesday where she was seen having a little dance-off with Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet.
