“@PrimeVideo This #BRETOT commentator is absolutely dreadful. Sporting knowledge and a capacity to engage the audience don’t seem to be as important as appeasing the woke,” the fan said.

“The football on Amazon prime is so frustrating, the audio is about a second behind the video. Becoming unwatchable,” another one said.

“@PrimeVideo Have a commentator mute/crowd only button if you are watching the footy over the next few days, so much better,” another fan said on Twitter.

The Premier League returned after 43 days following the FIFA World Cup break with the Spurs taking on the Bees at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, West London.

Brentford are coming off good form after beating the 2021-22 Premier League champions Man City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. They took an early lead against Spurs, thanks to a debut goal by Vitaly Janelt in the 15th minute.

Spurs are missing some key pieces in the setup with their first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris missing out on the starting 11 after playing the Qatar World Cup final.

Cristian Romero, the Argentine defender who was part of the World Cup-winning Argentina team, also missed out on the starting 11 on Monday.
