Brad Allen, referee for the Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins playoff game at the Highmark Stadium on Saturday, and team were trolled on social media for being allegedly biased towards Josh Allen and co.
The Bills took an early two-touchdown lead in the first quarter of the wildcard game.
Fans, however, complained that the referees first let go of a possible holding and then accused them of not calling penalties on the Bills.
“So nfl refs are missing obvious penalties that’s would help the dolphins out what’s new. Refs will screw this game for the dolphins,” a Twitter user said.
“Brad Allen is dumber than a rock. & @NFLOfficiating gave him a playoff game smh #CantFixStupid,” another one said.
“More like… Brad Allen: Incompetent Ass,” a third one tweeted.
The game between the two teams is underway at Highmark Stadium. Dolphins’ Skyler Thompson has replaced Tua Tagovailoa as the quarterback for the game after the latter, who suffered another concussion, was not given a nod by the doctors. With this, Thompson has become the second of two rookie quarterbacks starting in the wild-card round – the first being 49ers’ Brock Purdy.
Meanwhile, Bills got an early 7-0 lead on a 6-yard pass from Josh Allen to Dawson Knox in the opening quarter of the Sunday game. Bills Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs recorded five receptions for 96 receiving yards.
Dolphins’ Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, on the other hand, dropped passes in the opening quarter.
