Team India skipper Rohit Sharma touched two massive
milestones in Wednesday’s Asia Cup match against Hong Kong. The 35-year-old
India captain scored a stormy 21 off 13 balls in his opening partnership with
KL Rahul before being caught out. By scoring those 21 runs, Sharma become the
fourth-highest Indian run-getter as an opener, touching 12,000 runs. However, a
bigger record awaited Sharma. India’s victory by 41 runs against Hong Kong made
Sharma India’s second-most successful T20 international captain, second only to
Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
