The San Francisco 49ers were trolled on Saturday after Seattle Seahawks managed to get two consecutive touchdowns in the wild-card game at the Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara.

The Seahawks recovered from 10-0 in the first quarter, to lead 14-13 in the second.

“San Francisco’s defense better improve real fast or Seattle may blow them out,” a Twitter user said.

“Everyone talking about this 49ers defense. Either Seattle offense is really good or San Francisco defense is average,” another one added.

“San Francisco defense got ran into the ground then got it thrown overtop of them,” a third one said on Twitter.

“purdy hasn’t been good, our defense is just actually abysmal. he’s thrown twice to wide open players under 0 pressure, one was a rush for about a yard and the other was all deebo,” wrote another.

However, the 49ers turned it around in the second half of the game as they scored 22 points without letting the Seahawks score even once. The defense revived itself and put up a great show as they blocked every Seahawks attempt to score.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the 49ers led 38 against 17 of the Seahawks. At the moment, it seems there is no way back into the game for the Seattle team.

The key to the revived performance of the 49ers was the defense. After the poor first-half show, they changed gears and the effect of it all was visible in the reactions of the fans.

“The 49ers have an elite defense led by the DPOY, the most talented RB in the NFL, a wunderkind as HC, an elite “jack of all trades” at WR, top-3 TE & the best LT in all of the NFL. Did I miss anything? Brock Purdy is 2022 Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer TBH,” a fan wrote following the second half show.
