Kohli
is arguably the best batter in the world now. With 70 international hundreds,
he holds the record of most centuries among the contemporary cricketers. Kohli is
loved not only in India but across the world, and a testament to that was seen
during the ongoing Pakistan Super League.

Though
Kohli has been going through a poor patch, he is still one of the most feared
batters in the world. His last hundred came in international cricket in 2019
but still, he managed to average over 40 in 2020 and 2021.

As
Kohli’s wait for the next hundreds gets longer, journalists questioned his
confidence level. Hence, during a press conference captain, Rohit Sharma urged
the press to stop talking about Kohli as the batter will get back his mojo.

In
the final Test in South Africa in January this year, Kohli scored 79 and 29 and
followed it up with two half-centuries in the three-match ODI series against
the Proteas.

However,
in the ODI series against West Indies, the right-handed batter failed to shine,
scoring 8, 18 and 0. He scored a fluent 52 in the second T20I against the
Caribbean before being afforded a break by the BCCI for the final T20I.

Kohli
has also been rested from the three-match T20I home series against Sri Lanka
that begins on Thursday but will return to play the Tests that start from March
4.
