Hankering
for the start of 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai
Super Kings (CSK) opener Suresh Raina is “counting days” before the action
resumes in the UAE.

The southpaw posted a picture on Instagram on Sunday alongside CSK teammates MS Dhoni and Murali Vijay and team manager Russell Radhakrishnan.

“Counting
days to get on the field and cherish every minute. Can’t wait for the season to
begin @mahi7781 @mvj8 @russcsk,” Raina captioned the photo.

Raina has been
actively sharing posts on his social media accounts, giving an insider look into his training sessions ahead of the IPL. He earlier shared a video of himself batting
during a net session.

The
33-year-old has established himself as one of the greatest in the tournament’s
history, boasting a stellar career with CSK. Raina has played 193
matches, scoring 5368 runs at a strike rate of 137.14.

Former
Indian captain Dhoni has also reportedly started training sessions at the JSCA
International Stadium Complex in his hometown Ranchi. The upcoming edition of
the IPL has increased significance for the wicketkeeper-batsman with much
uncertainty surrounding his future with Team India.

Dhoni last represented
India in the semi-final loss to New Zealand in the 2019 ODI World Cup.

The upcoming
edition of the IPL was originally scheduled to commence on March 29, however, the coronavirus pandemic forced the BCCI to postpone it to September 19. The
final will be played on November 10.
