It would
not be an exaggeration to say that a large part of the population of both
countries remembers and enjoys these ads. They have become a part of cricketing
folklore ever sine their introduction in the 2015 ICC World Cup.

The
latest edition of the Mauka Mauka series is out and it does not disappoint. You can watch it here:

The ad
opens with a Pakistani supporter visiting an electronics store in order to buy
a new television set to watch the upcoming clash. He has firecrackers in his
hands which act as a reminder of the previous ad campaign.

The man is met
by an Indian shop owner who greets him and reminds him that he had broken his
TV a few years ago when India registered victory over Pakistan. Hence, the shop
owner ends up giving the customer two TVs as part of the “Buy 1 Break 1”
scheme.

The one-minute
advert ends with the familiar Maula Maula jingle playing in the background. The
friendly banter and the usage of subtle humor make the ad relatable, funny and
extremely popular.
