After winning the ODI series against England on Sunday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is wasting no time resting and has started preparing for the upcoming 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 32-year-old cricketer on Monday shared a video of himself on Twitter in which he can be seen running on a treadmill. “No rest days. From here on its all about speed #IPL,” he captioned the video.

Check out the video here:

Kohli will lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. The tournament is scheduled to begin on April 9 in Chennai.

South African player AB de Villiers, Kohli’s teammate in IPL, was quick to react to the video. “Loving the form @imVkohli .. I’m all packed to join the team,” he commented on Kohli’s post with a picture of himself all geared up for the tournament.

Kohli, too, replied to de Villiers in the comments saying, “Hope you’re still fast between the wickets.”

Notably, Royal Challengers Bangalore has never won the tournament. This time, the star-studded team would look for the elusive dream to come true.

Apart from Kohli himself, his trusted on-crease companion Villiers and RCB veteran Yuzvendra Chahal have been retained in the team, alongside comparatively young faces such as Devdutt Padikkal and Navdeep Saini.

The first match of IPL 2021 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians on April 9 at 7.30 pm IST.
