Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have recreated the iconic classic cartoon Spider-Man meme for the 4k and digital release date announcement of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

The official movie account tweeted “Of course, we got THE meme,” and posted the announcement dates for the home video along with it.

The scene originally appeared in the 60s cartoon, where a villain begins impersonating Spider-Man. In the new movie, there is a scene where the webslingers come together and pay homage to the meme by pointing at each other. However, it is nowhere as obvious as this image.

The upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ movie will be available on digital on March 22. It’ll be made accessible on 4K UHD and Blu-ray April 12 onwards.

The Sony-Marvel venture swung to the top of the US box office, smashing several records. Even after the long run, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ remained at third place in the box office during the President’s Day weekend. It became the biggest hit since theatres opened after the pandemic, and shows another step in the right direction for the Sony-Marvel collaborative effort.
