Travis Kelce, the two-time Super Bowl winning tight end, told TMZ Sports in an exclusive interview that he has eye on a role in the WWE. The Kansas City Chiefs star does not plan to hang up his cleats as yet, certainly not in exchange for wrestling, but he said in the interview that he is up for some kind of role in the organization.

The 33-year-old said that sooner the role comes to him, the better it is going to be. Plus, Geroge Kittle’s appearance in the WrestleMania- the flagship competition of WWE, earlier this month makes him more hopeful for a bout in the ring sometime soon. Kittle and Kelce are close friends, according to reports.

“My guy George Kittle was at WrestleMania throwing clotheslines left and right, man,” Kelce said. “It was awesome to see him go nuts.”

Kelce’s wish to appear in WWE is quite serious as he revealed that he has already hit up his friend The Miz about an appearance in the show. Incidentally, The Miz lost to Pat McAfee in WrestleMania recently due to an interference from Kittle, who was making a special appearance.

The fans can thus hope to see the Kansas City Chiefs star also hit the ring at WWE with a special appearance soon. “Hopefully,” he said, “we can brew something into fruition here.”

Just a few days ago, Kelce was the center of attraction at a music festival that he organised in Kansas City. Named Kelce Jam, the concert featured performances by Machine Gun Kelly and Rick Ross. Kelce kicked off the show by drinking beer from the 2023 Vince Lombardi trophy on front of the 19,000-odd crowd.
