Marketa Vondrousova is competing in the Wimbledon final against Ons Jabeur in an attempt to capture her maiden Grand Slam victory.

The Czech star has drawn attention for her tattoos, and Vondrousova revealed that she received her first one when she was a teenager.

On Thursday, she defeated Elina Svitolina in two sets to advance to her second Grand Slam final.

The 24-year-old has gotten numerous tattoos since getting her first one at the age of 16. What she has inked above her right elbow has piqued the curiosity of many followers. No rain, No flowers, the artwork reads. According to her, the message behind those lines is that success can still come after the most trying moments.

‘I think you know, without failure there is no success, so you have to go through some hard matches. Even if you lose especially, if you keep believing in yourself and yeah, this is the reward,’ she told reporters back in 2021.

Vondrousova has a tattoo of the lucky number 13, as well. She added the five Olympic rings after the Tokyo Olympics, where she took home a silver medal.

Recently, the Wimbledon finalist admitted that her ink is similar to “art.”

‘It was my birthday gift. I don’t know; I just felt like I wanted more after that. Now, to me, it’s also art, and I respect those who practise it. I frequently visit three or four tattoo artists. Some are in Prague, and most of them are girls.’

‘For me this is also art. I just like it and I appreciate the people who do it. I feel like it is work and it is also art.’

The Czech said she has a pact with her coach that if she wins the title on Saturday, he will get a tattoo of a Wimbledon emblem on her body.
