Netflix documentary Swamp Kings examines the Urban Meyer period at Florida from a variety of perspectives, including Meyer’s own as well as that of former players, other coaches, and sports media figures like Paul Finebaum. Its main structure, like that of many sports documentaries, is comprised of these interviews plus a combination of behind-the-scenes and game video.

Urban Meyer, who coached the Florida Gators to two national championships in 2006 and 2008, was one of the SEC’s most successful head coaches during the BCS era. He played for Florida for six seasons, from 2005 to 2010, compiling a cumulative record of 65-15 and never losing fewer than eight games in a season. As the head coach of the Gators, he was 5-1 in bowl games. In addition, he guided quarterback Tim Tebow to the 2007 Heisman Trophy.
