Former Texas A&M football player verified to KAGS that Texas A&M assistant football coach Terry Price died following a battle with Stage IV cancer. He was 55.

After joining the Texas A&M football coaching staff in December 2011, Price became the program’s longest-serving member.

Terry Price is survived by his wife, Kenya. The couple have two sons, Devin and Alex, who both played football for Texas A&M from 2020 to 2022. Both of Price’s boys graduated from A&M Consolidated High School, where they were members of various Tiger athletic teams.

Who are Terry Price’s children?

Alex is a sophomore majoring in sport management. Devin is a sophomore university studies major as well as an A&M football wide receiver.

Devin grew up watching Aggie football and has seen his fair share of action at Kyle Field. He’s even listened to tapes from his father’s era.

“I definitely have watched,” Devin said of the late-’80s teams. “Old school physical teams.” We’re attempting to resurrect that today.”

The younger Price, like his father, was excited about the prospect to attend A&M on scholarship.

“It’s truly a blessing to receive a scholarship and play at this university, with this platform,” Devin had said, “and make a name for yourself.”

Devin, like his father, arrived at A&M on time. Jimbo Fisher is putting together a championship program. As a player in the mid- to late-1980s, Terry contributed to the development of this program.

Terry’s coaching career has been virtually entirely in the SEC after he retired from playing. He spent time at Ole Miss and Auburn, but he knows nothing compares to Aggieland. When he was given the option to return home, he did not walk; he sprinted.
